How to add Multiple Colors to Badges - Impact Theme

Topic summary

Goal: Color-code product badges individually in the Impact theme (e.g., make “NOW” green and keep “BEST SELLER” blue). Current badges are created via metafields; the theme’s color settings don’t offer per-badge control.

Context/needs: Only 2–3 badges will be used. Open to using tags. The second badge slot is intended for sales/promos on collection pages. “NOW” and “72 HR” are internal indicators to communicate turnaround times to customers.

Updates: A helper requested the store URL; the merchant shared https://talonrods.com/. A third-party solution was suggested: the Product Labels & Badges app, creating separate campaigns (e.g., NEW and TOP SELLER) with configurable rules and styling (screenshot provided).

What’s missing: No direct CSS/metafield-based method was provided to target specific badge names for different colors within the Impact theme. No code or theme setting workaround has been posted.

Status: Unresolved/ongoing. Next steps likely involve either custom CSS targeting badge selectors or adopting a third-party app for per-badge styling control.

How would I Name the NOW badge to be green and keep the BEST SELLER badge blue?

I dont see any options on the color options in the Shopify Builder. I had to use metafields to create the badges. Just not sure how to target which one to change the colors. I did see a tutorial on using tags which i’m not apposed to. Im only gonna have 2-3 Badges that Id be using that need a separate color.

Hi @DavidBeuy

Would you mind to share your Store URL website? with password if its unpublish. Thanks!

Hi @DavidBeuy ,

Consider trying Product Labels&Badges if you’re looking into a third-party app. This app provides numerous customization options to meet your requirements.

Utilize our labels feature to create two distinct campaigns - NEW and TOP SELLER - and establish rules for them.

Honestly The NOW badge and 72 HR badge are more internal for the team but also lets customers turn around times. I also want to use the Second Badge spot as tags for Sales and Promos in collections. So that the only reason I want a second color just to differentiate the two Badges.
