How to add pre-order to Page

I was able to install an app to change ‘Add to Cart’ to a Pre-Order button within the product pages, but on the main collection page they are still showing Add to Cart. How do I change it? I am using the Flow template.

Hey Michelle,

Just checked out your website. Seems like you’re using an app that only changes your button text and styling, rather than helping you sell actual pre-orders?

  • If so, it’d require more than styling changes to make the Pre-order button show up on your main collection page
  • i.e. You might need to edit your theme files
  • I clicked the Pre-Order Now button on your product page and it wasn’t adding anything to my cart
  • The Add To Cart button is also displayed briefly on your product page before turning into a Pre-order Now button
  • The same for your other collection pages (Add To Cart button displayed first to your customers before turning into a Pre-order Now button).
  • I was able to add an item to cart after clicking Pre-Order Now on your Physis Collection page

We’ve just launched our app that handles pre-orders in Shopify natively, i.e. your orders are tagged as an actual pre-order, displaying the labels and buttons on your catalog and product pages (besides home page, for now). Helps you capture partial deposits too.

I was only trying to change the button with how I am taking those orders. I was able to figure it out with that particular app.

I did notice the switch in button as well, working on a fix for that.
