How to add redirect button(contains a link) while order is done in cart

Problem statement: An enhancement to the customer dashboard is proposed to include an “Order Tracking” feature. This feature will become visible only after an order has been placed. Upon order confirmation, staff members will be responsible for providing a tracking link. This link will be integrated into the “Order Tracking” button within the customer’s dashboard. By clicking on this button, customers will be redirected to the provided tracking link, enabling them to monitor the status of their orders. It is important to note that customers have the capability to purchase multiple products in a single transaction.

I just answered a similar ticket, glad to see the customer accounts page is getting some attention.

I don’t think the built-in Shopify account page will show the tracking link, at least not without adding it to the code.

You can use an app to replace it with a dashboard with more content. The app in my signature, Customer Accounts, replaces the ‘classic’ account page with a widget that is more customizable, functional and pretty, a customer portal that integrates different contents, like an Order History panel.

You can check how the Orders History panel looks on the demo site, click here it would include the Tracking link on the corner of each order, if a tracking link has been provided during fulfillment.

Thank you for looking into the problem. I wanted to add a tracking button which will redirect the user using metafields. I have tried every possible things I know but can not help at all. I have tried your suggestions and it just makes the customer page nice but i can not find the actual solution of my problem.

In the picture you can see there is no Track option nor there are any field where a stuff can provide the link of tracking page.

The tracking link is entered in Shopify during the fulfillment of the order, then you should see it in the dashboard

The tracking number would be in the first field, while the second should show you a dropdown with the supported carriers, where the closest match carriers are first. Luckily you can find your carrier in this list, then the tracking link should take you to the tracking page of that carrier.
