Hi,

Does anyone know how I can add redirects that have a trailing slash? We have lots of old URLs that end with a trailing slash, they have new pages setup in Shopify but the trailing slash keeps getting removed and so all my old URLs are not redirecting to the new pages.

Please Help!

Thanks

Simon

Hello @siguy85 , when you change or update the url on Shopify it shows a checkbook at the bottom, for redirect to jew url from your old one. Please make sure you check this one before hitting the save button.

If you have setup completely new URLs then it might be batter to use any app that will allow you to map those old links with new ones.

Hi,

Thanks for your comment.
I should have given some context, I have migrated from another system which used URLs ending in a slash, and they have been indexed as so. I want to add those URLs to the shopify redirect system but when I do, shopify removes the trailing slashes automatically. So none of the redirects work.

Thanks,

Simon

Hi,

When we try to add a Slash(/) in the url handle , shopify is converting it into hypen(-) and saving it.Can you help us here?

I’m also having this issue - keen to hear if anyone has an answer as to why that would happen.
