I am currently trying to figure out how to add a slideshow to a specific collection page on the debut theme. Currently the page is pretty bare and I would like to add some extra elements to it, but I am very limited. Is there a way to do this that doesn’t involve an application?

Currently, there is not way to natively add a slideshow to a collection page through the vintage theme Debut. This would only be possible with code edits or an application. Perhaps a developer or Shopify Partner will be able to provide some insight if you are comfortable with taking the coding route.
With that being said, I would like to recommend one of our 2.0 themes as they are designed to allow you to add sections to pages outside of the homepage. If you are open to exploring a different theme, this solution will be more straight forward as a slideshow section can be built into the default collection pages with ease through the theme editor. The theme Dawn is very similar to Debut in that it has a minimalist look and feel - very much like a blank canvas.
