How to add staff to POS without granting access to backend operations?

I have the Shopify $79/month plan and I bought the POS Pro for 1 of the 4 locations.

I’m trying to add staff to the POS and I just need them to access the POS system and not the website.

When I add them as staff in the POS it sales to upgrade that pin #.

My question is how do I add a staff member/location and not have them see the backend of the operations?

If you are looking to add a staff member that only has access to your Shopify POS, then that is completely possible with our POS Pro subscription. The staff member will not have access to your admin but will need a unique four-digit pin to access the POS. Please follow the steps below on how to create a POS-only staff member:

  • From the Shopify admin, under SALES CHANNELS, click Point of Sale > Staff.
  • Click Add staff.
  • Enter the staff’s contact information.
  • Select the POS role that you want to assign.
  • Under the PIN section, click Generate new PIN to assign a unique PIN to your staff. Staff will use this PIN to access the Shopify POS app.
