How to add text to top of collection pages when filtered by tags

Topic summary

A Shopify store owner wants to display custom text at the top of their /collections/all page when customers filter products by specific tags. The goal is to provide additional information about each tag-filtered product grouping.

Current situation:

  • Creating separate collections for each tag would enable this functionality
  • However, this approach doesn’t work for their use case since products already belong to other collections
  • Tags are used to enable cross-collection filtering based on specific product attributes

When our customers go to /collections/all, they then have the ability to filter products by tags. When they sort by specific tags, we would like to add text to the top of that page giving them more information about that specific grouping of products.

I know this is possible if I create separate collections for each tag. However, we already have different collections each of the products filtered by tags are in. We use the tags so that customers can filter our products by more specific information that pulls across collections.

Is there a way to add text to the top of collection/all/[tag] pages when sorted by tags?
