How to adjust banner size in Dawn 5.0 for various devices?

I keep struggling with the banner in the dawn theme. On sone devices its to big on others to small. I am doing something wrong i gues.

Shopify advices a ratio of 3:2. This I cannot get correct, then i keep changing the sizes to see when it works, then it works on laptop but not on big screen. Is there a standard ratio and size I can use.

Then I would love to have the banner covering the whole screen I see some post to ad some lines in the backend. But i did that ones and the shopify told me that it is the reason i have to update manually when a newer theme comes out.

I have seen a website with a full banner and no header just a floating header that would be awesome.

@H-e-n-k-B-r-w-r I may not have the right answer for you but I will try to answer your question. I had the same problem and I tried all different sizes and the one that I found worked best was 1200 x 475 px.

This makes the screen even smaller. The Dawn theme is build in with a fixed size, but that clips my image to much and is to small.

I have now 3027 x 1612 this one is not bad but also not perfect.
