How to auto-apply a discount code from an email link?

Hi.

New guy question.

I created this discount code.

If I enter the code manually at checkout, it works fine.

But I was assuming/hoping/expecting that if I apply that link to say, a button in an email, if I click the button it would take me to the store and auto-apply the discount code. But it doesnt - it takes me to the sotre but then I still need to manually enter the code.

Is that right?

Hi @compdaze , you can do this with shareable link:

Include that link in your email (button) - that should solve the problem!

Hi.
Thanks for the reply.
I do have it in the button, but it still is not “behaving”. I am clearly doing something else wrong.

So, if you follow that shareable link, add product to the cart and go to checkout, discount is not applied?

Also, what kind of discount is that? Is it made only for specific products/collections or subscription products?

Thanks for the quick reply.
Here is the actual link - it is live now.

The intent is 15% off any purchase of any products, no minimum, once per customer, through this weekend.

If I enter the code at checkout it works. But I cant get the link to apply the discount.

Hi @compdaze , I’ve tried following your link and it works. Discount is automatically applied at checkout. I don’t see the problem.

Try following your link in inkognito mode.

Hi. Thanks again for replying.

I still dont see it.

1 item would be 15% off of 19.99, so about 17.00 and I am not able to make that happen unless I type the code in manually.

To your point though, I will try on a different computer just in case I have an issue on my end.

Yep, it’s 17.00.

Everything seems good on my end.
