How to change Add to Cart button to Preorder on Dawn theme when inventory is zero?

Hi,

I am using the Dawn theme.

I wanna replace the ADD TO CART button to PREORDER when the inventory reaches 0.

Please help.

What will happen when someone clicks the pre-order button? Will they place an order?

I mean - only the text changes. All functionality remains the same. Correct?

@Lucid_Polygon , the PREORDER button should not remove the ADD TO CART button. The PREORDER button will only show up when the inventory is zero. When a visitor clicks on the PREORDER button, he/she should be able to place the order just like the add to cart button.

If you are looking to sell Preorder when inventory reaches 0 without having to touch theme code, you can use a free pre-order app like DC Preorders.
