We created our Shopify Partner account around 4 years ago and, at that time, we used a random name for testing. That name is now showing in the Shopify Partner Directory, including the URL slug.
Currently, our partner directory URL looks like this: /partners/surajtest
We would like to update it to reflect our real agency name, for example: /partners/entangle-agency
Is there any way to change the partner directory name or URL slug now?
If not, what’s the recommended solution (contact support, create a new partner account, etc.)?
Any guidance would be appreciated.

This comes up quite a bit with older Partner accounts. From what I’ve seen, the Partner Directory URL slug is generated when the listing is first created and can’t be edited directly later on.
Updating the Partner profile or agency name doesn’t always update the public URL slug, especially for older accounts that started with a temporary name.
The usual next step is to contact Shopify Partner Support and ask if they can update the directory listing or regenerate the slug. Some partners have had success that way, but it’s not something you can change yourself in the dashboard.
If support can’t change it, creating a new Partner account with the correct name is often the cleanest long-term option.
Hey @anilqode! At the moment, Shopify does not allow you to change the Partner directory URL (for example, /partners/surajtest) after a Partner account has been created. You can update the business display name in the Partner Dashboard, but the Partner URL itself is permanent and cannot be edited or redirected.
If having a branded Partner URL is important, the recommended solution is to create a new Shopify Partner account using the correct company name from the start and use that account for new projects. The existing Partner account can still be kept to manage older stores or historical data if needed.
Use the partner dashboard to open a chat with an advisor in the partner-help context, e.g. manage profile .
Your probably stuck with it even if you get past teir0 support with no power.

But way better visibility too other partners since the scuttled the partner-slack channel as they pull up the ladders.
