How to change "Store Owner" role for account that I don't have access to

I contacted Shopify Support via the AI tool two days ago to get 2FA removed from the login that holds our “Store Owner” role (the person who had access to that login has since left and even though we’ve reset the password, we’re being blocked from logging in because of 2FA).

I was connected with a human via the chat who escalated it to the wider Shopify team and shortly thereafter I received an email to verify my identity, which I did.

Two days later, the team at Shopify reset MY login password and turned off 2FA, NOT the login that I asked for, which is incredibly frustrating. Now, when I go back to the AI Chat Bot to try to get an update on the ticket and contact support again, the “Contact Support: Enter the queue to chat with a Support Advisor” button isn’t working, it just repeats everytime I click it and I can’t get through a human.

After exhaustive efforts to reach a human being at Shopify, I’m turning to these forums in the hope that someone can help either:
A) Making my login the new Store Owner role without logging in to the current Store Owner role login

or

B) Resetting the password for the Store Owner login and turning off 2FA (which, as I understand It, Shopify needs to do).

I am pulling my hair out here! What to do?
