How do we change the box text “discount code” to “promo code”?

You can change the placeholder text for the discount code in the checkout by translating/changing the text through the Language editor. From your Shopify admin, navigate to ‘Online store > Themes > Actions > Edit language’ to access the Language editor. From there, you can use the search bar to filter and locate the Discount placeholder field. Once that’s done, simply change the text and save the changes.
