How to charge customers only after their order is shipped?

I am partnering with a fulfillment centers for my orders. I want to assure customers that they are able to submit payment information at checkout and won’t be charged until the order is shipped. Similar to larger companies that offer drops/draws.

I’d like to have pre-orders, but do not want to charge customers cards until the fulfillment center has shipped their order. Does anyone know of any apps that offer this?

I think you want to authorize the amount when the customer is placing an order and want to charge when you ship the product. If i understand you correctly, then you should check this guide
