How to code a horizontal facet filter bar in Flex theme?

Hi Team,

Has anyone had success coding a horizontal bar for facet filters on the Out of the sandbox FLEX theme?

There is no built in option other than the vertical filers in the sidebar.

I would rather not use an app and just use the native Shopify filters.

I ended up using an app, not the best solution though.
