Hi all,
For one of our clients we need to configure their Office 365 account. Shopify manages their primary domain. Before i fully configure the domain settings within the Office 365 Admin, i need to make sure transaction email from the Shopify shop is not disrupted.
At the moment, the Shopify DNS settings contain several email related records, like:
mx.[client URL].com.cust.b.hostedemail.com
b446fd2c1252.p570.email.myshopify.com
And several DKIM records from Shopify.
As far as i know, there can only be one MX records and it needs to be the Microsoft one:
[client URL]01cb.mail.protection.outlook.com.
If i replace the original Shopify MX records with these Microsoft/Office 365 records, will transactional e-mail be disrupted? Or can these MX records co-exist?
Same goes for the SPF and DKIM records: I need to add a SPF record for Microsoft, but in my experience Shopify should also be added to this record to conform valid usage of the domain.
Thanks in advance for any help!
PS - I’m not sure if I’m posting in the correct subforums, excuse me if I didn’t.
