I am using the spotlight theme and need my images inside of my image slider to fit correctly, my url is priinttern.com
Topic summary
Image slider in Shopify’s Spotlight theme is not fitting images correctly.
- Context: Merchant’s site is priinttern.com. Goal is to have images contained properly within the slider.
- Guidance provided: A responder explained the slider’s behavior is coded and depends on image aspect ratio. They advised adjusting source images to a variant that matches the slider’s aspect ratio, and cautioned that custom CSS isn’t a good solution here.
- Current challenge: The merchant has tried many shapes and sizes but still cannot determine the correct dimensions/ratio that display properly.
- Outcomes and status: No specific size or aspect ratio was provided; no settings or code details were shared. There is no confirmed fix yet, so the issue remains unresolved.
- Open question: What exact image dimensions or aspect ratio does the Spotlight theme’s slider require to avoid cropping or distortion?
Looks like it has been coded in the image slider, and also depends on the image ratio. So you should try to modify your images to select the variant that matches best with the slider.
A solution with custom CSS code is not so good for this case.
The problem is I cant find the right size for it and I tested all types of shapes and sizes.
