I do some mug pressing, and would like to load all my image names into a drop down menu, and all the corresponding images. I want to show just a blank mug, then when a customer chooses from the menu, it will overlay the mug image with what they want on it . As I said in the title, I have around 300 images.
I would like to at least have a go at this before calling in a pro. Can anyone point me in the direction of a tutorial ?

Having a dropdown with images + overlays won’t work out of the box with Shopify, you would need a third party app like the one above.

This app is great, and Ive managed to upload all my images and play about with it, but when I save changes and then go look at the product, it doesnt look any different to the product I edited with it. Is there some sort of apply changes part of the process I am missing ?
