How to create a feature blog to appear on the top of blog template? (debut theme)

Hi Shopify community,

Through one of the Shopify Blog emails, I visited Great Jones blogs and was inspired by the featured blog. I was wondering if this was possible to do on Shopify Debut theme? Where should I start?

I know that you have to edit the code. I will be changing blog-template.liquid

So,

  1. how do I pick out the blog that will become the feature one.

  2. how to get the feature one to appear at the top?
