How to create a peer to peer marketplace without multi vendor app?

Hello,

I want to build a peer to peer market place where users can sell and buy products, a bit like this https://www.vestiairecollective.com/women-clothing/. It’s not necessary a multi vendor as some there will be many sellers selling similar items. Each user (whether they are are buyer or seller) will need an account. So the site will be split by item type rather than vendors. Can I adapt the multi vendor marketplace app for this? Also once I have built my site I want to launch it as an app, is the possible with the shopify multi vendor plugin?
