I’m trying to create an Abandoned Cart automation via the new Shopify Automations and am having trouble creating an automated discount which will be sent as part of the 3rd marketing email in the workflow. I want the discount to apply automatically once the customer clicks on the “complete cart” link and completes the purchase.
The problem occurs when I insert the discount widget in the drag-and-drop editor. I am presented with a selection of discounts that have been created in my shop but not the automated discount I had created previously. This was an automated discount applied to the whole order.
Through this same selection section, I can also click on a link to create a discount, however this defaults to a discount off a product, which is not what I want.
How do I create an automated discount to apply to the whole order in the automated workflow for Abandoned Cart or Browse Abandonment?
