Hello! I’ve created a view with the query in the search as “tag:*” which correctly shows all tagged orders. However, as soon as I press save, the query no longer works and shows no orders. I’ve attached screenshots showing when I first press type the query vs when I save it. I can’t get it to work using the individual tag names either since there are too many as I use them as a due date countdown.
Any ideas to be able to save the “tag:*“ query?
If you did “tag:*Due in 7 Days”, it should work for that tag, so I’m guessing it has to do with the search only having the * symbol.
The issue isn’t with the * being part of my tag names, it’s that I’m specifically using the tag:* query to mean “show me all orders that have any tag at all.”
That query works fine when I type it directly in the search bar, but as soon as I try to save the view, Shopify converts it into a filter chip (Tagged: true), which unfortunately isn’t working. That’s why the saved view shows no results, even though the live search works.
Using something like “tag:*Due in 7 Days” would only show me orders with that exact tag. I need a way to save the broader “any tag exists” filter.
It doesn’t look like it allows for an any tag filter view. The obvious work-around would be using the OR function but you’d have to list all your tags in the single ‘name’ quote.
I’ve tried to add each using the OR function, but it seems there’s a character cutoff before I can get all the tags in that I would need to be included. I can type them all, but when I press save, it truncates the excess.
Just tried it again there, and it worked that time! Not sure why it seemed to truncate before, but thanks for your help!
