We have a large catalogue store with currently 1.000+ products and growing. For this reason, we are looking to improve our product filters, and get the right product in front of our customers in fewer clicks/steps.
Currently we use standard filters by assigning metafields to each product, but it’s a lot of work to update as we grow our portfolio of brands and the list of options presented in front of customers is huge (creating confusion).
On car auction website I found a sort of ‘double dropdown list’ which are connected. First you select the car brand and then in the second dropdown you are only presented car models from that particular car brand - meaning invalid options are removed, which reduces confusion for our customers. I really love this.
Any tips on how we could build this? Is it possible to do this via Metafields or Metaobjects?
