I recently created a new website with the sense theme. When I go to create a new page example: the “about us” page… I see I have lots of sections to choose from and customized this page. When I go to create a new page to talk about our products, I see to get the about us page to come up even though the page is named something completely different. So if I make edits, it makes edits to the about us page. How do i make new pages with sections that are not connected?
Topic summary
-
Main issue: After customizing an About Us page in the Shopify Sense theme, creating another page (e.g., Products) showed the same About Us layout in the theme editor. Edits to the new page also changed About Us, and the user asked how to create pages with sections that aren’t linked.
-
Guidance provided: A helper shared a Loom video demonstrating where issues can occur when editing pages in the theme editor and how to avoid unintended cross-page changes. The video link is central to understanding the fix.
-
Outcome: The original poster confirmed they figured out how to separate pages so each can be edited independently and expressed thanks.
-
Status: Resolved. No detailed steps were posted in the thread; the solution appears to come from insights in the shared video and adjustments made by the user in the theme editor.
Hey there -
I created a quick Loom to show you where the issues may arise when editing within the theme editor.

Love to know if this solves the issue for you.
Thank you for your help! I think I may have figured out how to get the pages to separate so I can edit each one differently. Thank you!
