Shopify’s product page normally just displays all variants together, merchants often use a configurator to guide customers through the process step by step.
You can try this app Extend Product Configurator, you can break the configuration into stages (choose base product → choose options → add extras) so customers can build the product more easily without overwhelming them with too many choices at once.
