When people use the search button on my website and type in something relatable to the services I am offering or calculators etc. - the search displays a random empty page with the title at the top. These pages have not been created by me. Is there a way of redirecting the search results so whatever the client types in it takes them to the most relatable page?
Currently I have removed the search button until I can fix this issue.
Shopify search has the ability to search by article, page, product, or all. This would have to be coded into the theme. On another note, It sounds like the search function on your theme is working correctly. It should show a results page, not a random empty page.
Yes. I can type in something like the tax calculator and there will be 2 results that the viewers can click. One of which is the correct page created by me and the other is a search results page which is empty when clicked on. I would like to only display the results of pages or products that I have created instead of displaying additional results of empty pages with the title of what the viewer have searched for.
