Now that I have an app for my shopping cart, I want to disable the original theme shopping cart.
How can I do this?

You can try this code by following these steps:
Step 1: Go to Online Store->Theme->Edit code.
Step 2: Search file theme.css
Step 3: Paste the below code at bottom of the file → Save
span.cart-link__bubble.cart-link__bubble–visible, .giraffly_total_Quantity_Circle_Round {
display: none;
}

Unfortunately this did not work or the shopping cart symbol is still there

I found this solution which worked for my shop:
.cart-link {
display: none !important
Now I need the same for the mobile version. Can you help here?

You can try this code for mobile:
@media (max-width: 767px){
span.cart-link__bubble.cart-link__bubble–visible {
display: none;
}}
This did not work and the shopping cart symbol is still there in the mobile view.
