Hi, my customer wishes to delete their credit card details from the database. How can this be done? If not possible, will deleting client profile remove their card details as well?

All stores powered by Shopify are PCI compliant by default, so you can keep payment info and business data safe. PCI compliance is a security standard for all organizations that handle credit and debit card information, and you can learn more about it here. While there is still some customer data that is saved, you can actually delete this data directly through your Admin. We have a help doc that outlines the steps you’ll need to do so. Feel free to check that out here.
Have you considered other service providers that you might use who may have access to your customers’ personal information? For example, if you have subscription-based business and use an app to manage this, then your customers’ credit card data will be saved in order to recharge them for their subscription. Is this the case for you?
