How could I delete unused files that have been uploaded in Shopify?

To delete unused files that have been uploaded in Shopify, follow these steps:
- Log in to your Shopify admin panel.
- Navigate to Settings > Files from the left-hand menu.
- In the Files section, you’ll see a list of all uploaded files.
- Locate the unused files you want to delete, then check the box next to each file.
- Click the Delete button (usually represented by a trash icon) at the top of the file list.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Note that only files not currently in use by products, pages, or other store elements can be deleted. If a file is in use, you’ll need to remove its association first (e.g., from a product description) before deleting it.

To delete unused files in Shopify, go to your Shopify admin, then navigate to Content > Files. There you’ll see all your uploaded files. Review them carefully, and for any file not in use, click the three dots next to it and select Delete. Make sure the file isn’t linked anywhere on your store before deleting, as Shopify doesn’t automatically track unused files.

If you go to the Content-Files section and select related unused files, you will see an option appearing in the top right upper corner of this page called Delete file/Delete files. After clicking this button, you will be able to delete the unused files.
If you fail to select the files on your Shopify admin page, it should be due to the version of the theme you are using. You may need to contact the Shopify Team for more details and figure out the cause code. Thank you!
