How to disable shopify store but still use POS

I have a wordpress website and use the shopify buy button on my wordpress pages to sell products. I do not want people (or google) stumbling across the shopify webpages. I do not want to maintain 2 homepages and I do not want those pages to compete with each other. How can I hide the shopify homepage while still managing inventory in shopify? I tried to set up a redirect from shop.mywebpage.com to mywebpage.com but shopify wouldn’t let me. I will set up a password to protect the site but that is not what I want to do, I’d rather redirect. Please advise.

Thanks for reaching out! That is an excellent question.

If you want to use only BuyButon displayed on your WordPress website, then the Lite plan is the best option.

The Shopify Lite plan is for anyone who wants to sell products without maintaining an online store. For example, if you embed a Buy Button on your website or blog, then you can do so with this plan.

If you want to sell your products in person — at a farmers’ market, a trade show, or a pop-up store — then you can do so on the Shopify Lite plan by using the Shopify point of sale app and a card reader.

The Shopify Lite plan comes with Shopify’s standard features for the point of sale and Buy Button sales channels, the Analytics page, and the Finances report****. However, Shopify Lite doesn’t include the **online store sales channe**l, which you don’t want in this case.

With the Shopify Lite plan, you can add/edit products and fulfil orders within Shopify admin while displaying products on your existing WordPress website through Buy Button.

You can downgrade to the Lite plan in the admin by going to Settings > Plan > Compare plans. On the Compare plans page, you’ll see an option to remove your online store at the top of the page. Once removed, this means you have downgraded to the Lite plan.
