I am seeking guidance on how to disable the “Confirm It’s You” verification process that involves customers entering a code sent to their email address during the checkout.

I would like to explore the option of eliminating this step for a smoother customer experience. Could you please provide instructions or direct me to the relevant settings for disabling this feature?

I have been exploring the settings under “Checkout” but couldn’t find an option to disable it.

I have the Symmetry theme.

Thanks

Hi @TrueDealsClub

Thank you for the screenshot! This feature is actually an express checkout using Shop Pay. It works similar to Google Pay, Apple Pay, etc. The verification step is required because once verified it will automatically fill in the customer’s billing details and credit card information. Shop Pay is optional, and you can disable it from within your Shopify Payments settings in your admin.

You can learn more about the features of Shop Pay in our Help Center: Shopify Help Center | Shop Pay.

But what about in the case of a staging/dev environment when Shopify Payments is set to test mode and I don’t have any SMS service installed (and don’t want to do so)?
