I linked my external website to Shopify and want to reverse this. How do I disconnect and restore my website to it’s original state please?

I’d love to help you out here, but I just want to make sure I am understanding this correctly. It sounds like you have connected a third party domain to your Shopify store, but now want to remove this connection is that right? Who is the domain provider for this domain?
We actually have a guide on how to do this in our help center - check it out here. It basically involves removing the domain in the Settings > Domains section of your admin, and then changing the DNS settings for the domain to point it to another website of your choosing. Changing the DNS settings would be done on the domain providers website. You should be able to log in there and access some sort of settings panel for the domain.
Are you planning to continue with your Shopify store? I’d love to hear more about your plans. If you wanted to use a different domain for your store, did you know you can actually purchase domains right on Shopify?
