How to display a specific image first instead of the first variant on product page?

Hello there!

I know this question has been asked quite a few times and even followed the step-by-step instructions on: https://shopify.dev/tutorials/customize-theme-show-featured-image-on-product-page

Im unsure if im doing it wrong but it is just not seemingly working out for me…

What I am trying to do here, is that I want a specific image to be featured/highlighted once the product page is open, which is not the product variant.

But here’s the catch, I do have a different featured image of my product when you’re on the “Collection Page”, and it is coded for its thumbnail to disappear when on you’re on the product page. I just want a different image as well once the product page is open. I am unsure if this coding is cancelling the coding from the URL.

Hi! Were you able to figure this out? I have tried and tried and cannot figure out how to get my main first image to be default when you click on the product. It shows as the image in the catalog but when you click on the product, it defaults to the default variant image instead. For example, Unisex LS White, so when you click on the image you just see a longsleeve white shirt instead of what should be the default.
