How to display item count on the 'Dawn' theme cart icon?

I am currently designing a store, and I’m entering the final stages before going live… I have been messing around with apps that have direct access to the store design, etc.

The question/issue I am having pertains to the cart icon. I am using the ‘Dawn’ free theme. As I update pages, products, and whatever, I have another tab showing the live version of my store to check that everything works and looks how I want it to. The only real issue is the cart icon not showing the number of items that are currently in it. This store is in the Jewelry/Watch space, so the likelihood of someone checking out with multiple items is fairly low. However, the cart icon looks as though it’s trying to update, but ends up having a blank spot in the corner where I assume the number of items would show, normally.

Not sure if this is due to something on my end (the store is not currently live, a lot of product drafts, etc.), the result of a third-party application, or just a visual glitch that will resolve itself over time.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

There is several reason, the number might be just white which blends to the container. You might also have created an error in javascript. It would be best if you can share your website so we can take a look

It was the color blending into the background. Thank you for the suggestion.

Unfortunately, now I am dealing with a very similar issue with the checkout button. This time, however, I do not have the option to change the color within the Shopify editor menu. I will try going into the code for now.
