How to display popup description of product when clicking instead of redirecting to product page

Hi there!

I am creating a build-your-own gift box page displaying all the products that can be added to the box. I am hoping that I can figure out a way to show the description/info on a pop up when clicking on the product rather than redirecting you to the product page. Any ideas?
