How to efficiently remove bulk products without crashing the API?

We run a consignment business and at the end of the items time in the store we remove any of the unsold goods from our store. Our inventory management system allows us to do this in bulk, however it seems to be crashing the API to shopify when we do more than 20 at a time.

Is there anyway around this? It’s turning what should be a 5 minutes task into one that takes hours?

Do you mean your current integration is taking too long to delete products from Shopify? You may need to discuss with develop as should be a quick process.

The other options is to do it through admin in bulk: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/shopify-admin/productivity-tools/bulk-actions#all-list
