It is possible to remove the
of product titles from cart code, but it is likely that the problem will present again at checkout. Did you tested it?
And checkout code can’t be changed unless you have a Shopify Plus plan subscription.
I suggest you to reconsider the idea to put
tags inside a product title.
If I remove the
tags, is there another way to create a line break? If so Id gladly remove them.

Yes, we switched themes…problem solved 
Which theme did you switch to? i am having the same issue on my dawn theme! Br showing in titles of my products.
