How to enable quickview on collection page without an app?

Topic summary

Goal: replicate a “quickview” hover effect on the collection page (Debut theme) without the current app, plus display percentage-off and “sold” badges based on stock.

Context: The store uses Turbo Product Filter (Quickview), which is no longer supported and has poor support. The merchant wants either a reliable alternative app or a custom-coded solution.

Advice given:

  • Custom coding the collection page can fully reproduce the current layout/effects and avoid app limitations.
  • An example of a custom-coded collection page was provided.
  • Due to the scope (theme-level changes), hiring a developer is recommended rather than posting full code in-thread.

Current status and next steps:

  • The merchant asked the responder if they are a developer and can implement the solution.
  • No code, alternative app names, or concrete implementation steps were provided yet. The thread remains open, pending engagement with a developer.

Hi there,

Using Debut Theme - https://www.luxurybrandjewellery.com.au/collections/view-all

Using the app - Turbo Product Filter (Quickview), however they are no longer supporting this app in the shopify store and the support is really bad.

I need to change this app or implement custom code (if possible).

On the product collection page, I want to be able to hover over a product and the product card sticks out, similar to what it does now, but without using this app or if anyone knows another app that does this with good support. Alternatively, if I can custom code this in shopify to do the same.

This app currently displaying the percentage off badge along with the sold badge depending on the stock availability.

thanks team - looking forward to hearing back.

Hello @KieranK95

Welcome to Shopify Community.

So I have checked the current collection page setup, and rather going with an app with limited/paid features, I would suggest you to custom code as it is possible to completely code the full collection page similar as it is now with a attractive layout.

Here is an example of custom coded collection page.

So if you are not good with coding and also the complete collection code cannot be added here as it needs to be coded in the theme I would suggest you to seek help of a developer at reasonable cost to setup this.

Let me know if you need one.

Thanks

Hey there,

thanks for your reply to my post.

Are you a developer and can you do this for me?
