How to enhance blog design on a basic platform without HTML knowledge?

I am planning on adding more blog posts to the website. however shopify’s blogging feature is super basic. Ideally I want to be able to have text with images side by side, and have highlighted quotes

I am not HTML proficient unfortunately. I have also tried various drag/drop designers however when I copy/paste the code everything goes out of the window since whatever I am using does not copy CSS across (that’s my understanding at least)

I know there are apps, however I am not very keen on using it as I don’t really post all that much and I feel that page builders might slow the website down in general.

any suggestions? or should I just play with Shopify’s blog to try to make it work?
