Hello Shopify Users,
I recently started up a baby product store targeting 0-3 year olds. It is a general store that will sell necessary items for parents. Items include strollers, baby bottles, diaper bags, some educational toys, etc. A little bit of everything and is a general one stop shop kind of store.
I have been searching endlessly for suppliers that have these items. I can find some few and far between through the typical Alibaba, AliExpress, Spocket, and all the rest. The problem I am running into is either one of three things; shipping negatively offsets price of item ($2 item with $13 shipping), shipping times are extremely too long, or the item itself is too expensive for a “wholesale” price ($10 item that sells for $12 in majority of retailers).
My question is, has anyone had the same issues with a similar style store? Baby products specifically? If so, how did you go about it? I want it to be a wholesome store with quality products, and decent variety. This has been an absolute challenge for me.
