I sell VINTAGE items - mostly costume jewelry, but some small collectibles and ephemera, and I’m having a hard time with finding Google-recognized categories to get these things approved for Shop, especially the ephemera. If there’s a category for them, it isn’t intuitively apparent. Facebook and Instagram don’t have any problems with them, but Shop seems very discouraging for people who sell AVC (Antique, Vintage and Collectible) items rather than commercial “products.”

I got 53 results for collectibles, and 1 for vintage. If you want the taxonomy for other countries you can change the country code in the URL.

Never mind, I found categories for my orphans. I don’t think some of them are very good matches, but they at least get the items visible. I don’t really expect very much from Shop - it seems to be aimed at sellers of new commodity items rather than AVC - but eyeballs are eyeballs.
