How to fix Impulse Theme variant options bug?

I’m using the Impulse Theme and got 2 variants (material and size).
Unfornuately it’s not behaving user-friendly, it looks like the products are not available just because each material has different sizes. This looks like a bug, please help.

  1. Default View: Variant1 “Material” 3+4 disabled (because they have different sizes)

  1. If you click Option 3, Variant 2 still all disabled

  1. Only if you click another Option it becomes active
