How to fix missing 'value' parameter issue in TikTok pixel?

Topic summary

Main issue: After connecting a TikTok pixel to a Shopify store, TikTok Helper shows no problems, but TikTok Ads Manager flags Add to Cart and other events as missing the required “value” parameter. Ads submission also warns there have been no pixel events in the last 7 days, risking rejection or poor performance.

Key term: The “value” parameter is the monetary amount passed with ecommerce events (e.g., cart additions, purchases) that Ads Manager uses for optimization.

Fix reported: One participant resolved it by deleting the old pixel, creating a new pixel, reconnecting it to Shopify, triggering as many onsite events as possible, and waiting 1–2 days. After this, the errors cleared.

Open questions: Another user asked whether the second connection was done manually. A different user asked whether to run ads now or wait until the issue fully resolves.

Status: Partially resolved via the reset-and-reconnect workaround, but not yet confirmed universally. The thread remains open with unanswered details on setup method (manual vs. standard integration) and recommended timing before launching ads.

I recently connected a pixel to my website. Everything seems to be running fine. When I check the events on my site with the TikTok helper, it doesn’t report any issues.

However, when I tried submitting my ads to be reviewed, it said there was a problem with the link in the ad to my product page. The error stated that because there were no events on my pixel in the last 7 days, my ads could be rejected or the performance could be hindered.

I then tried testing my events in the TikTok ads manager, and surely enough an error came up for the add to cart and other events: missing “value” parameter.

I have absolutely no idea what this means and what to do with it, and what makes it even weirder is that the TikTok helper indicates everything is working fine.

What could I possibly do to resolve this issue? Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance!

I have the same issue. Does anybody know what to do?

I got it fixed, all you need to do is:

  • delete the old pixel

  • make a new one and connect it to shopify

  • trigger as many events as you can

  • wait 1-2 days and it’ll be alright

Hey, I got the same problem here.

Did you connect the pixel manually the second time?

I’m facing the same issue. Should I run ads or Should I wait until it resolves?
