How to fix slideshow image hyperlink issues on mobile?

I changed the slideshow image as a hyperlink using the code shared on the net. A couple of things,

  1. A white patch appears , eventhough button is removed

  2. The slideshow image is not responsive to mobile phone.

I’m using the default theme

Any help pls
