Hello Shopify…we need your help , I am very concerned as a parent of my son only just turned 16 years old in Jan 2023 was able to set up a Shopify account, without checks based on a free trial with no charge until end of the trial period ? We were not aware of him setting up account and I note your terms saying you have to be 18 years old. He cancelled the account, then had £228 taken from his Under 18’s bank savings account on 6th Feb 2023 by Shopify. This is clearly an error and I am sure not Shopify’s intention or normal way of working/best practice. Therefore in these exceptional circumstances we request the money is returned in full as soon as possible . Thanks for your help
