How to get more images in the slideshow 2020?

It seems all the articles I’ve read about adding more images point to things you can no longer edit in the templates in your 2020 version of Shopify.

How do we change the default number of slides from 6 to unlimited or maybe 10 or 15 or 20, etc?

What templates or files can we edit with little to no html or css knowledge?

There’s one article that had code in it but didn’t say which file to edit and where or why?

I’d like the article answer to have a which file, where in that file, and why and how type answer. This should be included with the default subscription help. Thanks.

Regardless of the theme the option to add more is almost always based on the slideshow section’s, content schema.

For example:

If you were using the Debut Theme you’d navigate to the slideshow.liquid file and search for “max_blocks”.

This simple setting will control how many “blocks” or, slides in this case, can be added. If you wanted 10 you’d simply change 6 to 10.
