How to get two stores selling different products to sell 10 limited products at both stores

I am looking to have 2 Shopify stores where each will have an actual location for pickups.

Each store will be selling different products - except for 10 products (limited editions) - which will be sold at both stores.

I need a way to:

  • sync inventory between the two stores on the 10 products

  • I need my customers to be able to chose which of the two stores to pick up from (The items can not be shipped)

Is there a way for this to be done?

This is definitely possible! There are a few ways you can achieve this with Shopify. You could use the “multiply” feature, which allows you to create multiple storefronts for the same Shopify account. This would allow you to sync inventory and sell the same products on both stores. Alternatively, you could use various apps to sync the inventory like you stated. These apps also allow you to set up shipping rules to prevent customers from choosing shipping for certain products. What are the products which you speak of and are you looking to set it up yourself?
