How to give access to Sendvio app to Marketer role

Hi :slight_smile:

I don’t want to give full access to a user therefore I decided to modify the Marketer role.

I’m struggling with giving access to the Marketer role so that the user having the role can send emails to customers through the Sendvio app.
I modified the Marketer role by adding the permission to: Manage and install apps and channels but this does not work.

How can I configure the role properly to make the Sendvio working?

Shopify staff permissions only control what someone can access inside the Shopify admin. For third-party apps like Sendvio, things work differently those apps manage their own permissions.

So even if you give someone the “Manage and install apps” permission, it just lets them install or remove apps. It doesn’t control what they can do inside Sendvio.

For Sendvio, two things needed:

  • The staff member should have access to the app from Shopify
  • Their actual actions (like sending emails) depend on permissions set inside Sendvio itself

If needed, contact Sendvio support to confirm what permissions are required
