Last night our shopping cart began entering 100,000’s of items when a customer tried to purchase a single item, then calculated shipping based on that. So, a $30 book became $300,000 plus 65,000 shipping.
Horrified, a customer emailed me. I had no idea what to do but remembered that Shopify is rolling out the new shopping cart in a few days. I went into the back end of my site and opted into the early release of the new cart.
This fixed the problem but given there is NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT anymore, what is a merchant/store owner (YOUR CUSTOMER) supposed to do when things like this happen? Store owners pay a lot of money every month for your services. This is absolutely unacceptable.
I realize as I’m typing this that no one is going to respond to me which is even worse.
