How to have different bundles, with different variants on one product page

Topic summary

Main issue: Set up one product page offering two bundle options (3-pack and 6-pack) that share the same size guidelines but have different variants, displayed as separate bundle selectors. Current attempt using standard Shopify variants creates an unmanageable number of combined variants and doesn’t allow assigning the 3-pack to the “Aanbieding” 2+1 free and the 6-pack to 3+3 as desired.

Key points:

  • Desired UI shown in screenshots: separate bundle blocks (3-pack and 6-pack), each with its own variant choices, but common sizing.
  • Problem: Native variant setup multiplies combinations across all options instead of isolating variants per bundle.

Latest guidance from Shopify staff:

  • The showcased layout likely uses a third-party bundling app or custom code; not determinable from screenshots alone.
  • Recommended action: Evaluate product bundling apps from the Shopify App Store (upsell/cross-sell bundles category) to achieve per-bundle variant control.
  • Further help: Authenticate via the Help Center for account-level review and tailored suggestions.

Status: Unresolved. Next steps are to trial bundling apps or pursue custom implementation; contact Support for deeper assistance. Note: Screenshots are central to understanding the desired layout.

Hi Guys,

I need some help with setting up one of my products.
Currently, I want to sell compression socks and this is the way I want to sell it:

There is a 3 pack bundle and there is a 6 pack bundle of which both have different variants, but they have the same size guidelines.

Here is an example of how it should look:

However, when I try do this in the product edit page, it won’t allow me to allocate a 3 pack bundle to the ‘Aanbieding’ 2+1 free and the same goes for 3+3.

This is the way I thought it would work:

However, it adds a lot of variants to every group, and what I basically need is the example I showed at the beginning.

Can you show me how this is set up?

Thanks in advance

Hi there, @Treasora . Thanks for taking the time to reach out to the Shopify Community with your question around how to match this specific setup on your own pages with product bundles. My name is Imogen. It’s good to meet you.

To set some expectations for you, it could be that the example you shared may be using some third party applications or custom coding to achieve this specific set up for their bundles; I wouldn’t be able to say for certain based off the screenshot alone.

Are you using any sort of product bundling apps in your store currently to facilitate these bundles? Usually, these bundling apps provide you with the tools to set up your products as needed to offer bundles how you would like. If you haven’t already looking into adding some bundling apps to your store, we have a page here from our App Store that is loaded with several product bundling apps you can check out to see if they can help you achieve this functionality.

Additionally, we may be able to assist with this in more detail if we can get you authenticated via our Help Center. This would allow us to access your account in real-time, look into any potential apps you’re using, and check out your current set-up in more detail to make some suggestions to help you achieve your desired appearance.
